Violette Wautier first captivated the country with her audition on Season 2 of The Voice Thailand back in 2013. Since then, she has garnered critical acclaim and awards for both her music and acting. The Thai-Belgian sensation started off recording original songs for several films and television series. She then explored acting, going on to win the Suphannahong Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Heart Attack (2015) and A Gift (2016). In only a few years, Violette rose to fame to become a familiar face in the Thai entertainment industry. At this point, she had released chart-topping singles, acted in numerous projects and landed several product endorsement contracts.
In 2018, Violette decided to release her first English-language single, “Drive”. She followed up on the success of the hit with a second track named “Smoke” the same year. “Smoke” went on to break the record for most views for an English song performed by a Thai artist on YouTube with over 56 million views. The single also ranked No. 1 on Apple Music Chart in eight countries, including Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, at the time of release. Now, Violette Wautier is back in the recording studio, ready to shake up the music industry once more with an all-English album dropping in 2020 “Glitter and Smoke”.
